THE POWER OF
RADIANCE AWARDS 2023

Clé de Peau Beauté is proud to honor inspiring women for their dedication to
bettering the lives of girls through STEM education

At Clé de Peau Beauté we believe that the key to a better world lies in
unlocking the potential of girls through education.
The year 2023 marks a milestone fifth year of our

which is an annual celebration that recognizes women who are taking action
in their communities by advocating for girls' education.
As the world continues to be driven by STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) solutions,
educational advancements in these fields
by girls and women can empower half the global population,
serving as the radiant spark to ignite positive change and make the world a better place.

For 2023, Clé de Peau Beauté has announced Dao Thi Hong Quyen as the award recipient of the annual
‘Power of Radiance Awards’ for her extensive contributions in providing STEM education for girls in Vietnam.

While growing up in her village, Ms. Quyen was constantly inspired by her late father who passionately promoted education in her community. In 2018, Ms. Quyen founded the “STEM for Rural Area” project, reaching more than 10 schools and 1,200 girls. She was also the Ambassador for the “Girl in STEM” project with the British Council, when her work at Le Hong Phong High School saw female student’s participation in STEM activities increase up to 70%. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she conducted 28 online webinars for teachers on STEM education, resulting in upgraded STEM curriculums and soft skills development for more than 84,000 teachers in Vietnam.

With the ‘Power of Radiance Awards’ Grant, she plans to expand her initiative even further by supporting more girls and closing the gender gap in STEM education. Receiving this award will help Ms. Quyen support STEM education for vulnerable adolescents in three areas: STEM for Ethnic Minority Adolescents, STEM for Students with Disabilities, and Communication activities on STEM.

“Everyone deserves equal access to STEM education, and closing the gender gap in these fields means tackling the gender biases and mindsets towards girls that still exist in not only Vietnam, but all around the world,” said Ms. Quyen.
